Thoughts concerning the Number 5

Although I am aware that much with regards to Bible Numerics is subjective, I have always been under the impression, personally, that the number 5 according to Bible Numerics was the number of death.

Observe, in Gen 5:5–which is perfectly in line with the law of first mention–the first man Adam dies (note 5+5=10 Ten Commandments) –"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." (Rom 8:2 which equals 10 which is 5+5).

Notice in this quote below all the references to death and the number 5:

"This is the TENTH TIME [5+5] that we find the expression: “the generations” in the Bible. The last time we read of “the book of the generations” in the Bible was in Genesis 5:1. This is significant, for Adam is said to be a type of Christ in Romans 5... In Adam’s line, we read “and he died,” “and he died,” “and he died,” right through the chapter (Gen. 5);" —Ruckman, Dr. Peter S., Gospel of Matthew Commentary (The Bible Believer's Commentary Series) (p. 6). BB Bookstore. Kindle Edition

“Nevertheless DEATH [2nd word – which contains 5 letters] reigned from ADAM [the 5th word] to Moses [5 letters], even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” (Rom 5:14).

Did you notice that in the previous verse death is the 2nd word and Adam the 5th word (5x2=10) "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." (1 Cor 15:22), and that the entire verse contains exactly 30 words (6x5)?

Did you also notice that 1 Cor 15:22 contains exactly 15 words, which is (5x3).

***Note*** Moses' name contains exactly 5 letters. Moses, which is a type of the LAW, was not allowed to go into the promise land. He was the rod that in his anger smote "the Rock" which was Christ (1 Cor 10:4) who was made under the law.

"By the deeds of the LAW shall no flesh [5 letters (which is referred to as the body of this death Rom 7:24)] be justified: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" [Rom 5:20, which is 5x2=10 and 10(5+5)x2 =20].

Gal 4:2-6 “But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” —(Exactly 5 verses)

Notice also that the law cannot get you into the promised land but can only lead you to it: "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith." –only Joshua, who was a type of Christ (Joshua is the OT rendering of the name Jesus), can do that. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves (5 words): it is the gift of God:" (Eph 2:8). Again, 2+8=10, which is 5+5.

As the nation of Israel is aware (well, will be one day), all who stumble at this stumblingstone do so to their own hurt. "Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works (5 letters) of the law (10 words 5+5). For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;" (Rom 9:32). "...not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." (2 Cor 3:6)

Notice also the two-edged sword of faith (5 letters) and grace (5 letters). "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Heb 4:12).

Notice that sword does 5 things: 1. It's quick 2. It's powerful 3. It's sharp 4. It pierces 5. It discerns. All who stumble here DIE ETERNALLY.

In Isa 14:12-14 Satan says in his heart 5 times "I will" and he died spiritually as do us all.

The 5 wounds of our Lord did not bring, as some say, grace. For if the Lord Jesus merely died and had not risen "then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." (1 Cor 15:14), which =30 (6x5).

In Matthew 1:2 Judas is the 5th name mentioned. It also contains 5 letters. If we remember 5+5=10. And who was Judas a type of? You got it, the son of perdition. And what is the meaning of the word perdition? Spiritual Death

2 Cor 3:1-18 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? 2Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 7But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. 12Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Mind you, none of this is apparent in any of the originals. This advanced revelation can only be found in ONE BOOK, the KJB.

"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:" (2 Pet 1:19)
