Saving faith is exercised when a man comes to the place where he is willing by the power of God to lay down the weapons of his own warfare and reaches out in total dependence on God by the Cross. Till then, a man will continue to stumble around in the darkness. He remains on the road to hell till such a time as his heart does business with God. "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." (Psa 34:18). "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom 10:10).
