God Uses Broken Things

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." (Psa 147:3).
It's always hard--especially in times of heart ache and travail--to realize that God is still in control. We are as a people so prone to look at our circumstances rather than "looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."
Job when tried never wavered from His faith and trust in God. Although his trial was very egregious, and though all had forsaken him and accused him unworthily, and though he suffered the loss of all things, yet he still had faith enough to proclaim, "shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" (Job 2:10). "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." (Job 1:21).
The only way ANY person can do as Job did, is through an unwavering faith in God --knowing in your heart that no matter what, "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Rom 8:28).
One of the greatest weapons that satan uses--not only on the child of God, but also the unsaved masses--is the belief that God does not care; that He is unconcerned with the affairs of man. But nothing can be farther from the truth.
At every point in human history when it seemed there was no hope for man, God by His grace has intervened. And such is the case with you and I. The true hope of the Christian lies not in themselves, but in the God who promises that He will never leave thee nor forsake thee; that He shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus; and though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil, for Thou art with me.
I'm so glad that I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He ever liveth to make intercession for me. That He has not left me here to traverse this world alone, but ever leadeth me in paths of righteousness. And though at times I may not live up to His lofty expectations for me, He knoweth my frame that I am but dust. And that because I am, He has not dealt after me according to my sins; nor rewarded me according to my iniquities.
"He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; 18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. 19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. 20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. 21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. 22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul." (Psa 103:10-22).
